NAME AND PARENTAGE OF SAYYADNA ABU BAKR

Sayyadna Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, (Radhi Allahu ‘Anhu) was born in 573 A.C. at Makkah. Thus he was two years younger than the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). He belonged to a respectable and noble family, the Banu Tamim, a branch of Quraish tribe. His lineage joins with that of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) six generations before. His name was Abdullah. Abu Bakr (father of maiden) was his kuniya as his maiden daughter ‘Aisha was married to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). He became so famous that most of the people did not know his real name. After his conversion to Islam he received the title of As-Siddiq (The Truthful). His father’s name was ‘Uthman who was known by his patronymic name, Abu Qahafah. His mother’s name was Salma but she was also known by her patronymic name, Ummul Khair.

The Markazi Jamiat Ahle-e-Hadees Hind is the oldest organization of Indian Muslims. It was established in 1906. It introduced itself by championing the cause of India’s freedom struggle. It shouldered the responsibility of freedom struggle along with other fellow Indians. The Markaz is engaged, since its inception, in the noble cause of preserving Islam’s puritanical and pristine moral values and social ethos. This organization is dedicated for establishing a just moral social order by eradicating all sorts of evils from the society. In this regard, it renders valuable services in the field of education and general social awareness. This organization is also relentlessly working for the unity, integrity and sovereignty of our nation. It is also dedicated to the cause of religious harmony, peaceful co-existence, national solidarity and social justice. This organization is vigorously fighting the menace and scourge of terrorism and all kinds of its manifestation.
