Maulana Asghar Imam Mahadi Salafi, General Secretary, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth Hind, has slammed reports in Times of India, Delhi dated 18/10/011 under cover " Reject Wahabis and Audit madarsa’s funding. The Muslim clerics under All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB) has urged Muslims to reject hard line Wahabi Islam, set up a central Madrasa Board and audit Madarsa funding to check the influx of Saudi petro dollars.

Maulana Stated that there is no any Arabian model of Islam, hard line Wahabi Islam and moderate Sufi Islam. There is only one Islam followed by Muslims all over the world. The reports, which are part of bigger conspiracy, are "concolted Stories" published by individuals and groups with vested interests to malign the image of Salafis (contempted as Wahabis by its opponents) on one hand and to brand Saudi Arabia as extremists on the other hand, he said;

It is true that Salafis are against worshipping at dargah and graves which is against the traditions of the Holy Prophet. We are sure Ulama of AIUMB know it very well but ignore the fact to keep their existence alive, he further added. The AIUMB in its resolutions adopted at a Mahpanchayat in Moradabad, urged the Saudi Government to stop destroying graves of historical people in Saudi Arabia shows their ignorance of the facts and Islamic teachings.

"The Saudi Government, as far as we know, has enacted legislation stipulating that donations going outside the country be channeled through a single authority to prevent any of these donations being diverted for dubious activities or bodies.

In fact Wahabis (or Salafis or Ahle Hadeeth) are the follweres of Quran and Sunnah, as well as callers of Tawhid, harbingers of mercy, advocates of peace, architects of culture and builders of civilization. They Strive for all that is beneficial to mankind. They are tolerant people and call for peaceful coexistence with other Maslaks and other communities.

Maulana Asghar urged all to discard disunity, dissentions and prejudices, whether emanating from maslak, regionalism or ideological differences. Muslims should go back to Islam and its original sources, settle their differences on the basis of Shariah and unify their positions.
